| As most of you probably already know, Tom has a bit of Scottish blood in him. He is in fact much less than half Scottish, also having some German, Irish, English, and who knows what else. However, he rather plays up the Scottish side. Tom originally wanted to get married in a Lindsay tartan kilt. However, the consensus among the people asked was that Tom should not in fact do that. Kathy suggested a compromise and the initial selection of wedding colors was made: the colors of the Lindsay tartan. Below is a sample: |
|
| The colors in the tartan are actually red, green, and a slight bit of blue that does not show up in the above picture. Anyway, the initial plan (after the kilt idea was trounced) was to use these colors for our wedding and in a way we will: Tom will be wearing a Lindsay tartan vest (if he ever gets it made). However, the bridesmaids' dresses will all be red (actually more of a burgundy, which is also closer to the real color of the Lindsay tartan because the example above is not really very good) and the men's tuxedos will have black vests, so for all practical purposes, our wedding colors are red, white and black. However, some green is always good. |
| Hopefully you are now no more confused than we are about the colors of the wedding. Now, since the subject of Scotsmen was brought up, here's a picture of Tom in a kilt. This should prove to the nonbelievers that kilts can in fact look very nice. Tom is the one not in the police uniform: |
